This protocol addresses urethral stricture in transgender males (transmen) presenting at least six months after neophalloplasty — a minimum timing threshold that must be met before any intervention is appropriate.
The patient is a transgender male (transman) with a confirmed urethral stricture occurring after neophalloplasty. Intervention is only appropriate once at least six months have elapsed since the procedure. Strictures in this population arise most commonly at the anastomotic site.
An endoscopic approach is considered for eligible short strictures at the anastomotic site, with the protocol defining explicit limits on the number of attempts that may be undertaken — access the full protocol for the complete criteria and decision pathway.
