This protocol addresses men who develop non-obliterative bladder neck stenosis (BNS) following surgical treatment for benign prostatic obstruction — a recognised cause of post-operative urethral outflow impairment requiring a specific management approach.
Male patient with non-obliterative bladder neck stenosis and a prior history of surgery for benign prostatic obstruction. The anatomical and functional characteristics of non-obliterative BNS in this setting determine the recommended first-line intervention.
Perform transurethral resection (TUR) or "hot-knife" DVIU as 1st line-treatment for patients with non-obliterative bladder neck stenosis (BNS) after surgery for benign prostatic obstruction.
