Managing Hereditary TTP (cTTP) During Pregnancy

Hereditary (congenital) thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura presents particular clinical challenges in the setting of pregnancy. Evidence-based guidance addresses whether prophylactic treatment should be used and, if so, what approach is preferred.

This protocol applies to patients with hereditary/congenital TTP (cTTP) who are pregnant. Current guidance recommends prophylactic treatment over no prophylactic treatment in this population.

Treatment Approach

For pregnant patients with cTTP, a prophylactic plasma-based intervention is recommended. The specific approach, timing, and full management details are outlined in the complete protocol.
