This protocol addresses aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH) arising from a ruptured fusiform or blister cerebral aneurysm — a morphologically distinct subset of aSAH with particular implications for how the aneurysm can be secured.
Fusiform and blister aneurysms differ structurally from the more common saccular ("berry") type. Their geometry influences which interventional approaches are feasible and which carry the best evidence for reducing mortality after rupture.
The evidence supports an endovascular strategy in this setting. Flow-diverting devices represent a key component of the approach — though the specific technique, device selection, and full procedural algorithm are detailed in the complete protocol.

For patients with aSAH from ruptured fusiform/blister aneurysms, the use of flow diverters is reasonable to reduce mortality.
