Symmetrical, woody, non-pitting skin induration of the neck and upper trunk — with the fingers characteristically spared — arising in the context of an underlying haematological disease.
This form of scleredema is associated with paraproteinaemia, encompassing monoclonal gammopathy, multiple myeloma, and amyloidosis. The haematological disorder is recognised as the principal driver in this clinical setting.
