Treatment of Generalized Plaque Psoriasis in Adults (Age 18 and Older)
This protocol covers the first-line management of generalized plaque psoriasis in adult patients aged 18 years or older, structured around an evidence-based phototherapy approach aimed at measurable clinical improvement.
Patient Population
Adults aged 18 years or older presenting with generalized plaque psoriasis, for whom a systematic phototherapy-based regimen is appropriate as initial therapy.
Treatment Approach
The core of this protocol is a narrowband ultraviolet phototherapy regimen used as monotherapy. The complete structured regimen — including how the starting parameters are determined, the session schedule, adjunctive steps, and the alternative when the primary modality is unavailable — is available in the full protocol. Full details behind the link below.
Clinical Targets
The primary treatment goals are achievement of PASI 75 (75% improvement in Psoriasis Area and Severity Index score) and skin clearance.
