This protocol applies to male patients with prostate cancer who develop biochemical recurrence following completed primary radiotherapy, and in whom biopsy has confirmed local recurrence within the prostate bed.
In highly selected patients meeting this criteria, salvage local therapy — delivered at an experienced centre or within an appropriate clinical framework — is the intervention of choice. Achieving undetectable or nadir serum PSA, with no evidence of local or distant disease progression.
