This protocol addresses primary breast lymphoma confirmed as non-Hodgkin's lymphoma pathological type with CD20-positive tumor cells at early locoregional disease stages (IE or IIE).
The target population is patients with primary breast lymphoma of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma pathological type, CD20-positive tumor cells, at disease stage IE or IIE. CD20 positivity is present in the large majority of primary breast lymphoma cases and directly shapes systemic treatment selection in this protocol.
Initial management in this setting involves a multimodal combination of systemic anthracycline-based chemotherapy — with the addition of a targeted agent for CD20-positive tumors where appropriate — combined with radiotherapy to the involved site and limited surgical intervention to secure the pathological diagnosis.

Sixty-two (92.5%) patients were CD20-positive.
Rituximab provided a new choice for CD20-positive PBL patients.
All patients in this study received systematic chemotherapy after diagnosis; the protocols included the ABVD regimen (comprising doxorubicin, bleomycin, vinblastine, and dacarbazine) (4.5%) for Hodgkin's lymphoma and the CHOP (79.1%) or E-CHOP (16.4%) regimen for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Multiple treatment approaches, including anthracycline-containing chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and limited surgery, are recommended for the initial treatment of patients with PBL.
