Treatment of Posterior Uveitis in Neuroretinitis Due to Cat-Scratch Disease (Bartonella)

This protocol addresses posterior uveitis presenting as neuroretinitis in the context of cat-scratch disease (CSD) caused by Bartonella. CSD caused by Bartonella is a recognised and important infectious cause of neuroretinitis, and correct identification of the underlying organism directly shapes the treatment approach.

Management of this condition is built around targeted antibiotic therapy directed at the causative organism. The complete structured regimen — including agent selection and all clinical parameters — is available in the full protocol.
