Treatment of Post COVID-19 Condition with Headache in Long COVID
Persistent headache is a well-recognised feature of long COVID (post COVID-19 condition, ICD-11 RA02 / ICD-10 U09.9). When headaches continue beyond the acute infection and begin to interfere with daily life, a structured clinical approach becomes essential.
Clinical scenario
Patient with long COVID presenting with headache. Secondary causes are excluded first; management is then directed at primary headache symptoms — particularly migraine-like patterns that persist and significantly disrupt daily functioning.
