PCOS with Hyperandrogenism and Irregular Periods: First-Line Management
This protocol covers polycystic ovarian syndrome presenting with clinical or biochemical hyperandrogenism and/or irregular menstrual cycles, in patients who have no contraindication to combined oral contraceptive pills.
Clinical Scenario
A patient with PCOS who has clinical or biochemical evidence of hyperandrogenism and/or irregular periods, and no contraindication to a combined oral contraceptive preparation.
Treatment Approach
