PDA with Eisenmenger Physiology or Lower Limb Arterial Oxygen Desaturation on Exercise

Clinical Scenario

This protocol addresses patent ductus arteriosus in patients who present with one of two specific conditions:

Eisenmenger physiology — advanced pulmonary vascular disease driven by the longstanding shunt
Lower limb arterial oxygen desaturation on exercise — defined by a fall in arterial oxygen saturation below 90% during exertion
