Treatment of Ocular Larva Migrans with Active Intraocular Inflammation

When ocular larva migrans is accompanied by active intraocular inflammation, controlling the inflammatory process is central to management and preserving vision.

This protocol applies to patients with ocular larva migrans in whom active intraocular inflammation is present in the eye. Managing the inflammatory response is the primary clinical priority in this setting.

The standard approach involves corticosteroid therapy — both topical and systemic — to manage intraocular inflammation. Anthelmintic therapy may be considered in combination with corticosteroid. The complete regimen, including all therapeutic options, sequencing, and patient-specific considerations, is available in the full protocol.
