This protocol addresses neurosarcoidosis in patients whose neurologic involvement is functionally disabling, but has not reached the threshold of severe disability. The approach is structured around this specific disease burden and the particular neurologic structures affected.
Patients in this group present with mild to moderately disabling neurologic disease, which may include one or more of the following:

The regimen for this presentation includes biologic agents — among them infliximab — as a key component of management. This class of therapy can be used for sustained treatment or as a bridge while other agents take effect.
