Clinical Scenario

For resected MM, adjuvant temozolomide/cisplatin may provide superior survival benefits compared with PD-1 inhibitors, highlighting the importance of selecting evidence-based regimens after surgery.
In the 2023 ASCO congress, the latest data of chemotherapy versus toripalimab as adjuvant therapy in resected MM were further reported: adjuvant chemotherapy (temozolomide plus cisplatin) shows remarkable longer RFS, DMFS, and OS than toripalimab (anti–PD-1).
Both adjuvant interferon and PD-1 inhibitor therapy prolonged PFS, with PD-1 inhibition potentially offering more significant benefits in patients with positive PD-L1 expression.
