Treatment of Malignant Neoplasm of Commissure of Lip in Lip Cancer When Platinum-Based Chemotherapy Is Excluded

This protocol addresses lip cancer — specifically malignant neoplasm of the commissure of the lip — in patients who require radiochemotherapy but for whom platinum-based chemotherapy is contraindicated or otherwise excluded.

Not all patients with lip cancer are candidates for platinum-based chemotherapy. When this treatment avenue is excluded, alternative concurrent systemic therapy alongside radiotherapy must be considered to achieve adequate locoregional disease control.
