Lofgren's syndrome is an acute presentation of sarcoidosis. This first-line protocol addresses patients experiencing painful cutaneous lesions and joint pain as defining features of their presentation.
Initial management centres on nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory therapy to address the painful skin and articular manifestations.
It can be usually treated with only nonsteroidal drugs for painful skin lesions and joint pain; however, occasionally corticosteroids are required.
