First-Line Treatment for Locally Advanced, Metastatic, or Clinically Unresectable Liposarcoma

This protocol applies to patients with locally advanced, metastatic, or clinically unresectable liposarcoma for whom surgical resection is not feasible. In this setting, systemic treatment is offered with a palliative intent, aiming to control disease and preserve quality of life.

The standard first-line approach involves anthracycline-based systemic chemotherapy, with regimen selection guided by tumour characteristics, the potential benefit of a tumour response, and patient performance status.
