Treatment of Lichen Sclerosus at Extragenital Sites
Lichen sclerosus occurring at extragenital sites follows a specific clinical pathway. The protocol below is designed for patients with LS lesions located outside the anogenital region.
Extragenital lichen sclerosus — LS affecting skin at non-genital locations. This presentation is managed through a dedicated protocol distinct from genital LS.
UV-based phototherapy is a recommended intervention for extragenital lichen sclerosus.

We recommend UV therapy in patients with extragenital lichen sclerosus.
Based on these findings, NB-UV-B might be considered as an alternative treatment for extragenital LS in centres where UVA1 is not available.
However, treatment of extragenital LS with tacrolimus combined with UV light was successfully used in few patients.
