This protocol addresses leukemia cutis occurring in patients with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) — a malignant clonal disorder of hematopoietic stem cells presenting with direct leukemic infiltration of the skin.
The approach in this setting begins with leukapheresis; the complete regimen — including the subsequent systemic component — is detailed in the full protocol.
The primary target of treatment is improvement of the skin changes associated with the underlying leukemic process.
