Treatment of Mild Leptospirosis in Non-Pregnant Adults

Clinical Scenario

This protocol addresses mild leptospirosis in adult patients who are not pregnant. In this population, the clinical presentation is mild and the patient is suitable for outpatient oral treatment.

Treatment Approach

Oral antibiotic therapy is the established standard of care for mild leptospirosis in non-pregnant adults. A specific first-line agent is recommended, with several alternatives available for patients where the preferred option is not suitable.

The full protocol — including agent selection, alternatives, and course details — is available via the link below.
