This protocol addresses the management of patients presenting with a large left ventricular aneurysm that is accompanied by symptoms. In this population, the clinical approach extends beyond observation to include active treatment of complications and symptom-specific interventions, with surgical management considered when indicated.
In patients with large LV aneurysms with symptoms, management encompasses the same foundational measures as in asymptomatic cases, with the addition of targeted treatment for the complication or symptoms present. Surgical intervention becomes a key consideration when clinical criteria are met.
In patients with large LV aneurysms with symptoms, the management is the same as asymptomatic cases, plus specific treatment for complication/symptoms treatment and perform surgical management if there is any indication.
The left ventricular aneurysmal repair constitutes aneurysmectomy, aneurysmorrhaphy, and ventricular restoration that requires cardiopulmonary bypass and a balanced anesthetic technique.
