Ileo-Ileal Intussusception with Mild Symptoms and Small Bowel Involvement (2–3 cm)

This protocol covers ileo-ileal intussusception in which two small bowel segments are invaginated, presenting with mild symptoms and a limited affected area of 2–3 cm.

Ileo-ileal intussusception involving invagination of two small bowel segments may present with mild symptoms. When the affected area is small (2–3 cm), ischaemia is rare and spontaneous resolution is the more likely course, making enema reduction infrequently necessary. This pattern is generally a manifestation of viral illness.

This type of intussusception is more likely to resolve spontaneously and rarely requires enema reduction, as ischaemia is rare. This is generally the manifestation of viral illness and usually self resolves if the affected area is small (2-3cm)
