Iatrogenic Kaposi sarcoma arises in patients receiving immunosuppressive therapy. When the disease requires systemic treatment, salvage chemotherapy is the established approach.
Salvage systemic chemotherapy is the mainstay of treatment, with agent selection guided by prior therapy received and individual patient factors.

As a salvage treatment after anthracycline or paclitaxel therapy, oral etoposide, irinotecan, the previously used ABV regimen (adriamycin or doxorubicin with bleomycin and vincristine) as well as Gemcitabine may also be considered.
