Clinical Scenario

Grade 3 or 4 frostbite of the deep extremities, presenting within 24 hours of rewarming, in a patient not currently receiving active treatment for systemic hypothermia.

Key Eligibility Conditions

This protocol requires confirmed grade 3 or 4 deep extremity frostbite. Both the 24-hour rewarming window and the absence of concurrent active hypothermia management are required qualifying conditions for this regimen.

Treatment Approach (Partial Overview)

The protocol involves rapid initiation of thrombolytic therapy, followed by anticoagulation and adjunctive infusion therapy for eligible adults — the complete structured regimen is in the full protocol.
