In patients with stage I-II (limited/early-stage) follicular lymphoma who have already undergone localised excision, the question of further treatment — specifically whether involved-site radiotherapy is appropriate — requires careful consideration when either the clinician or the patient has concerns about radiotherapy to the affected site.
This protocol applies to patients with limited-stage follicular lymphoma who have had localised surgical excision of disease and where proceeding with involved-site radiotherapy is not straightforward — due to anatomical site, potential toxicity, or patient preference. The decision about whether to irradiate or pursue an alternative strategy is a recognised point of clinical judgement in this population.
Consider observation without ISRT in people with limited stage FL who have undergone localised excision and where there may be concerns by the clinician or patient about radiotherapy to a particular site.
