When fibromuscular dysplasia involves the intracranial vasculature, the detection of an unruptured intracranial aneurysm raises an immediate clinical question: how should it be managed before rupture occurs?
Unruptured intracranial aneurysm is the primary manifestation of intracranial fibromuscular dysplasia. This protocol addresses patients with confirmed FMD in whom such an aneurysm has been identified, and focuses on the decision to intervene preventively.
