Treatment of Advanced or Metastatic Oesophageal Squamous-Cell Carcinoma with PD-L1 Negative/Low Expression
This protocol targets a specific sub-population: patients with advanced or metastatic oesophageal squamous-cell carcinoma (SCC) whose tumours show PD-L1 negative or low expression, defined by a Combined Positive Score (CPS) below 10 and a Tumour Proportion Score (TPS) below 1%.
Clinical scenario
Advanced or metastatic oesophageal SCC with PD-L1 CPS < 10 and TPS < 1%. The standard first-line approach for oesophageal SCC is a platinum–fluoropyrimidine doublet chemotherapy regimen. Post hoc evidence suggests no benefit in the PD-L1 CPS < 10 subgroup from certain combination strategies, making biomarker-stratified treatment selection relevant in this setting.
Treatment approach (partial)
The protocol specifies a monotherapy approach for eligible patients in this PD-L1 low/negative setting.
Full regimen details, eligibility criteria, and sequencing are available in the structured protocol →
