Tratamiento de la Leucoplasia Vellosa Oral: Protocolo Tópico para Lesiones del Borde Lateral de la Lengua
La leucoplasia vellosa oral (LVO) se presenta como una placa blanca en el borde lateral de la lengua. Este protocolo aborda el manejo tópico estructurado de la LVO dirigido al sitio de la lesión primaria, con tratamiento continuado hasta confirmar la resolución clínica.
Enfoque de Tratamiento
El manejo implica un protocolo tópico aplicado directamente sobre la mucosa del borde lateral de la lengua en el sitio de la lesión. Objetivo Clínico
El éxito del tratamiento se define como la curación clínica de la LVO: la placa blanca ya no es visible en su ubicación primaria en el borde lateral de la lengua. Aproximadamente la mitad de los pacientes alcanza este punto final dentro de las 7 a 8 semanas de iniciar el protocolo tópico.
