Treatment with quinidine, a KCNT1 blocker, owing to its ability to reverse the in vitro channel hyperactivity has been considered a rational approach for seizure control in EIMFS.
Available data are not strong enough for clinical recommendation on ECG surveillance, but a dedicated cardiac rhythm study should be useful before initiating quinidine treatment.
