First-Line Treatment for Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma

Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is an aggressive B-cell malignancy requiring prompt systemic treatment. For newly diagnosed patients, the initial therapeutic strategy is administered with curative intent.

Treatment Approach

The standard first-line regimen is anthracycline-based chemoimmunotherapy, given with curative intent. The complete drug combination, cycle count, and clinical decision algorithm are detailed in the full protocol.

Dosing schedule, sequencing, and full regimen structure available in the protocol below.

For decades, chemoimmunotherapy with R-CHOP (rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone) has been the standard initial DLBCL treatment.

For patients with advanced-stage disease, those with low-risk DLBCL (IPI 0-1) and those with the GCB subtype have very good outcomes when treated with 6 cycles of standard R-CHOP treatment.
