Treatment of Dementia with Lewy Bodies with Visual Hallucinations, Delusions, and Apathy
This protocol addresses Dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) in patients presenting with one or more of the following neuropsychiatric features: visual hallucinations, delusions, apathy, and/or behavioral disturbance.
The patient has Dementia with Lewy bodies with visual hallucinations and/or delusions and/or apathy and/or behavioral disturbance. These neuropsychiatric features define the treatment indication.
A cholinesterase-based treatment approach is indicated for this neuropsychiatric presentation in DLB. The complete regimen — specific agent, dosing, monitoring, and sequencing — is available in the full structured protocol.
Reduction in apathy and meaningful improvement of visual hallucinations and delusions.
