Venous thrombotic events are a recognised complication in patients with cryofibrinogenemia. Their occurrence justifies a specific, sustained antithrombotic management approach.
Clinical scenario: Cryofibrinogenemia with venous thrombosis. The development of venous thrombotic events in this setting warrants targeted maintenance antithrombotic treatment.

Patients with venous thrombosis apparently require administration of oral anticoagulants while patients with arterial thrombotic complications should probably be given low-dose aspirin alone or in combination with anticoagulants.
