Treatment of pMMR/MSS Colon Cancer with Resectable Synchronous Liver or Lung Metastases
Clinical Scenario
This protocol applies to colon adenocarcinoma that is proficient mismatch repair (pMMR) / microsatellite stable (MSS) and presents with synchronous metastases that are resectable and confined to the liver only, the lung only, or both sites simultaneously.
pMMR / MSS
Synchronous metastases
Resectable
Liver only & / or lung only
Treatment Approach
Following resection of the metastatic disease, a perioperative adjuvant chemotherapy strategy — delivered over up to 6 months — is central to this protocol. The full regimen options, preferred choices, and decision algorithm are detailed in the structured evidence-based protocol.
