This protocol addresses Grade I central chondrosarcoma arising in the long bones of the limbs — a low-grade cartilaginous malignancy confined to the intramedullary (central) compartment, at this histological grade considered amenable to a limb-preserving surgical strategy.
Grade I central chondrosarcomas in this anatomical location carry a favourable prognosis when managed appropriately. The low-grade nature and central location in long bones of the limbs define the eligibility for a particular surgical approach, with a high chance of success when the correct method is applied.
