Clinical Scenario

This protocol applies to paediatric patients with newly diagnosed intracranial WHO grade II or III ependymoma in whom staging confirms CSF or spinal dissemination at presentation. The presence of disseminated disease defines a distinct risk category and shapes both the locoregional and systemic components of treatment. Craniospinal irradiation (CSI) is recommended in this setting, with a boost to focal lesions at doses adapted to patient age.
