This protocol addresses the management of thymic carcinoid in patients where radical resection is considered achievable and disease is staged at UICC TNM stage I, II, or III.
Thymic carcinoid confirmed as radically resectable at staging (UICC TNM stage I–III). Upfront surgery is appropriate when complete tumour removal is deemed feasible.
Where a functioning syndrome is present, its control is addressed before any invasive step is taken. The primary intervention is surgical; the operative strategy and scope of the procedure are detailed in the full protocol.
