Brugada Syndrome with Aborted Cardiac Arrest or Documented Sustained Ventricular Tachycardia

Clinical scenario

This protocol addresses Brugada syndrome patients who have survived an aborted cardiac arrest, or in whom spontaneous sustained ventricular tachycardia has been documented on ECG or Holter monitoring.

Qualifying conditions

Device-based therapy is recommended for Brugada syndrome patients who are survivors of an aborted cardiac arrest and/or have documented spontaneous sustained ventricular tachycardia.

Treatment approach (partial)

Beyond device-based management, pharmacological therapy — including quinidine in select clinical situations — may form part of the overall approach. The complete evidence-based regimen, including all indications and additional scenarios, is available in the full protocol.
