Hepatic haemangioma is the most common primary liver tumour. When a benign liver tumor is confirmed as a hepatic haemangioma, the clinical approach is shaped by symptom status, lesion behaviour, and specific patient circumstances.
This protocol applies to patients with a benign liver tumor in the setting of hepatic haemangioma. The management strategy accounts for lesion stability and the presence or absence of symptoms, as well as relevant patient factors.
For the majority of patients, a conservative approach is appropriate. The full protocol specifies which cases qualify, what that approach entails, and the particular clinical considerations that apply — the complete criteria and management pathway are in the structured regimen.
