Children (<18 years)

Ceftriaxone 25–50 mg/kg body weight intravenous or IM, single dose, not to exceed 250 mg IM

Same treatment as adults

Ceftriaxone 500 mg IM, single dose

Azithromycin 1 g orally, single dose

Doxycycline 100 mg orally, twice a day for 7 days

Patients with gonococcal conjunctivitis should be seen daily until resolution of the conjunctivitis.
