ينطبق هذا البروتوكول على كسور الظنبوب القريب التي تقع خارج المفصل كليًا — وتُصنَّف بوصفها النوع أ. في هذا النمط، لا يمتد خط الكسر إلى سطح المفصل، مما يجعله قابلًا للتدبير غير الجراحي لدى المرضى المناسبين.

اتحاد الكسر مع المحاذاة التشريحية للزاوية في المستويين التاجي والسهمي، والدوران الصحيح.
