• Topical glucocorticosteroids and tacrolimus remain treatments of first choice, possibly supplemented by topical dapsone.
• Tacrolimus 0.1% ointment applied twice daily seems to be the most valuable treatment option, all 28 reported patients benefitted from this topical treatment, and 19 showed excellent results.
• Based on published treatment successes experienced in a minimum of more than 5 patients (Fig. 1), we suggest starting the treatment topically.
• Tacrolimus 0.1% ointment applied twice daily seems to be the most successful option.
• A trial with local dapsone gel is a further option that needs to be evaluated.
