This protocol applies to patients aged 3 years or older who present with anti-NMDA-receptor encephalitis and satisfy a defined threshold of clinical and laboratory criteria for autoimmune encephalitis, in the absence of severe autonomic instability.
Clinical Scenario
- Patient is aged 3 years or older.
- Autoimmune encephalitis criteria met: 4 of 6 clinical criteria and at least 1 of 2 abnormal laboratory criteria.
- Severe autonomic instability is absent.
Treatment Approach (Partial)
Management in this scenario is guided by rheumatology and involves a specialist-directed pharmacological intervention. The complete regimen — including the specific agent, parameters, and clinical guidance — is available in the full structured protocol.
