This protocol addresses anogenital warts occurring in a pregnant person. Pregnancy significantly narrows the range of safe treatment options and introduces additional clinical considerations around delivery planning.
Removal of warts may be considered using provider-administered ablative methods. A number of agents commonly used outside of pregnancy are contraindicated in this population and must not be used. In certain circumstances, delivery route may also require clinical consideration.
Resolution of anogenital warts. Complete resolution may be more difficult to achieve during pregnancy; the full protocol addresses this clinical context.
