Mild Anemia of Chronic Disease in Inflammatory Bowel Disease or Rheumatoid Arthritis

Patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) or rheumatoid arthritis (RA) can develop a mild anemia of chronic disease. This protocol addresses that specific clinical presentation and its evidence-based management.

The patient has inflammatory bowel disease or rheumatoid arthritis and presents with mild anemia of chronic disease. In this population, the anemia is characteristically very mild and is closely associated with the underlying inflammatory condition.
