PregnancyHEV Genotype 1 / 2 This protocol covers acute hepatitis E virus infection in pregnant patients where genotype 1 or genotype 2 is identified. Pregnancy is a key determinant of clinical risk and directly shapes the management approach for this condition.
Management is guided by the elevated clinical risk in pregnancy, and the protocol specifies a particular care setting and intensity of monitoring appropriate to that risk. Criteria for escalation to specialist care are defined within the full regimen.
